How To Hard Reset Xperia Z

This tutorial will guide you the steps that you should follow to perform a master reset in your Xperia Z.A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

There are two ways to master reset your Xperia Z,First is,reset from setting menu and If you cannot access the device due to a forgotten password, you will need to use PC Companion to reload the software.

How To Soft Reset Xperia Z Steps:

Method 1
 *Back up all data on the internal memory.
 *From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
 *Scroll to and tap Settings.
 *Scroll to 'PERSONAL,' and then tap Back up & reset.
 *Clear the Automatic restore check box.
 *Under 'PERSONAL DATA,' tap Factory data reset.
 *Tap Reset phone.
 *If you have screen lock turned on, enter your PIN or password, and then tap Continue.
 *Tap Erase everything to confirm.

Method 2

Note: your device PIN must be entered incorrectly 10 times before this option becomes available.


When your phone has reached the maximum attempts to enter the PIN, the following message will appear:
Reset phone
 
Tap Ok.
Enter the security code provided on the screen. 
Reset option
 
The device will reboot and restore everything back to the factory settings.
